About Us
Owner/operator Jason Hjort started brick.city.media in 2001 with the goal of providing affordable design options to local businesses and artists. A native of Portland, ME, Jason studied jazz at the University of ME in Augusta as well as English at the University of Southern Maine. His real-world design experience includes working for three magazines, two marketing firms, a sports memorabilia start-up, and an international booking agency for musical acts as well as 20+ years of freelance design. His musical credentials include being a performing musician for over 35 years as both a guitarist and DJ. Jason is also a producer of electronic music with releases on several national and international labels.
Jason lives in Gorham, ME with his family and when he is not making music or designing, he enjoys fishing, camping, and the outdoors.
